Summary

The world of John Green’s kid-favorite InvestiGators series expands with the first volume of AGENTS OF S。U。I。T。, a brand-new spinoff shining a light on some of Mango and Brash’s colorful coworkers。

Cilantro the Chameleon finally gets what she’s been waiting for: a field assignment。 Only…it’s literally out in the middle of a field, and her orders are so vague, she can hardly tell what she’s supposed to be investigating。 But as she begins to uncover a sheep-led worker’s rights revolt and an alien invasion conspiracy—not to mention a spooky haunting at the abandoned S。U。I。T。 field outpost—Cilantro steps into her own V。E。S。T。 as a valued member of the team。 Joining this series is co-writer Chris Hastings and artist Pat Lewis, with John heavily involved in guiding the Agents along this standalone but complementary saga。

If you love the InvestiGATORS, you have to get your hands on @johngreenart’s Agents of S。U。I。T。 graphic novel, starring none other than Cilantro himself! Same hilarity, lots of intrigue, and a cast of fabulous characters - including cameos from Mango & Brash! Loved the how-to-draw page after the story, too!

I like the use of the chameleon as the main character having trouble wearing their V。E。S。T。 because it wouldn't color change。 This is something that would bother me in other books where clothing would magically disappear for characters with invisibility powers。 The book had a lot of inside jokes from other movies, TV shows, etc。, which I appreciated。 Unfortunately, the second half of the book felt a bit long to me。 Maybe it was getting stretched to fill a certain number of pages, but if not, I t I like the use of the chameleon as the main character having trouble wearing their V。E。S。T。 because it wouldn't color change。 This is something that would bother me in other books where clothing would magically disappear for characters with invisibility powers。 The book had a lot of inside jokes from other movies, TV shows, etc。, which I appreciated。 Unfortunately, the second half of the book felt a bit long to me。 Maybe it was getting stretched to fill a certain number of pages, but if not, I think it could have been thinned down a bit。This review is based on an ARC obtained through NetGalley。 。。。more

The witness doesn't remember what happened。 Sure, it was less to go on than they hoped, but maybe the local sheepherder, Milford, a cat with a large mustache, could help。 I think you'll enjoy this adventure, it's a lot of fun, full of puns and occasional cultural references, and has some surprise "visitors。" Just watch where you step。 The crop circles are pretty important。4/5Thanks to First Second Books, First Second, and NetGalley for the temporary digital preview; any review is voluntary and entirely my own opinion。#InvestiGatorsAgentsofSUIT #NetGalley#John PatrickGreen #John PatrickGreenAuth#ChristopherHastings #ChristopherHastingsAuth#PatLewis#IllusPatLewis#ChildrensChapterBook#MiddleGradeChapterBook#HumurousInvestigatorGraphicNovelSeriesChameleon#HumorousInvestigatorAdventureGraphicNovels#MiddleGradeCartoonStyleComicAdventureGraphicNovels#MiddleGradeAnimalComicsandGraphicNovels#MiddleGradeMysteryDetectiveandSpy#MiddleGradeHumorousComicsandGraphicNovels#CartoonStyleComicAdventureGraphicNovels#ChildrensAnimalComicsandGraphicNovels#ChildrensMysteryDetectiveandSpy#ChildrensHumorousComicsandGraphicNovels 。。。more

Both my sons and I are fans of this series so when I told them we received an ARC copy, they jumped up and down and hugged me to thank me! I loved this graphic novel! There is so much fun word play for both kids and adult readers。 The illustrations are bright and colorful, and I love the overarching message that being yourself is the best path to happiness and success。

My daughter loved, absolutely loved all her InvestiGators books - she has read them all! This one was no different, she loved it。 She was sooo happy, absolutely over the moon, when I gave her my tablet with the book open in it and told her I have a surprise for her。 She laughed out loud, she giggled, and she smiled all while reading it。 I am sure this book will bring so many fun moments to other kids also! This book is amazing。 I read it in one day because I could not put it down。 A part that I liked was that the alligators from the InvestiGator books, Mango and Brash, popped up at the beginning and end of the book。 I also liked that the main character who also works for S。U。I。T。, Cilantro the Chameleon, has a entrance to the HQ of S。U。I。T。 by a telephone booth。 For getting to the jail he enters 5-2-4-5 which spells out J-A-I-L like in Harry Potter when you go into the Ministry of Magic you would This book is amazing。 I read it in one day because I could not put it down。 A part that I liked was that the alligators from the InvestiGator books, Mango and Brash, popped up at the beginning and end of the book。 I also liked that the main character who also works for S。U。I。T。, Cilantro the Chameleon, has a entrance to the HQ of S。U。I。T。 by a telephone booth。 For getting to the jail he enters 5-2-4-5 which spells out J-A-I-L like in Harry Potter when you go into the Ministry of Magic you would also go into a telephone booth and press 6-2-4-4-2 which spells out M-A-G-I-C。 This book is great and if you love the other InvestiGator books then you will love InvestiGators: Agents of S。U。I。T。。This review is based off of Net Galleys advanced reader copy。 。。。more

For those who stand out and those who blend inFor a comic book this is an amazing opening line。 I will write this down in every notebook I own❤️Even though I am well over age expected group for this comic I really enjoyed it。 And so did my six year old daughter。 Additional bonus is the step-by-step tutorial on how to draw the main character。 Big thumbs up for this comic and I will recommend it。 Thank you to @netgalley and the publisher for this free eARC。

It is about time that Cilantro gets her own book and gets to be an agent of S。U。I。T。 I really loved the message of this book。 Finding your own way can be hard, especially when everyone thinks that things must be done one way。 Cilantro is just such a fun character who really allows her strengths to shine and when S。U。I。T。 tries to hide them, finds out that just because she does things differently doesn’t mean that it is wrong。 I truly love the messages that this series brings to children, all whi It is about time that Cilantro gets her own book and gets to be an agent of S。U。I。T。 I really loved the message of this book。 Finding your own way can be hard, especially when everyone thinks that things must be done one way。 Cilantro is just such a fun character who really allows her strengths to shine and when S。U。I。T。 tries to hide them, finds out that just because she does things differently doesn’t mean that it is wrong。 I truly love the messages that this series brings to children, all while giving them fun situations that will keep them laughing and engaged。 It doesn’t hurt that Mango and Brash do get to make a couple little cameo appearances in this book as well。 I really hope that Cilantro continues to get her own adventures。 I love reviewing these books they never disappoint。 I have honestly started checking out the entire series from the library to get caught up。 My 3-year-old even loves these books。Thank you so very much to First Second Books and NetGalley for allowing me to read an advance copy of this title。 。。。more
